Wearing khanda jewelry is one of the most trendiest and spiritual thing to do. If you will know the significance of the khanda you will surely start to think should I wear it too? The Khanda consists of three separate objects taken together.
1. A circle
2. Two intertwined swords
3. One double-edged sword in the middle
The symbol of Khanda appears on Nishan Sahib, the Sikh flag. Generally, it is called the “Coat of arms” or Khalsa crest. Figuratively, Khanda has many meanings and connotations more than what meets the eye. There are a number of triads, which the Khanda signifies. Chiefly, the two swords represent Piri and Miri, literally meaning spiritual and secular. The solid circle, or Chakra, which is a symbol of throwing out weapons used in a battle.
The double-edged sword signifies a sword which is used to stir the immortalizing “Amrit” which is given to drink in the Sikh baptism ceremony.
